SendQuote (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services at sendquote.dev. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your company name. This is required to create and manage your account.

Proposal data: We store the proposal information you enter, including client names, project descriptions, budget ranges, and the AI-generated proposal content. This data is used to provide the Service and display your proposal history.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. We receive only a token reference and basic billing information from Stripe.

Usage data: We may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken within the Service. This helps us improve the platform and detect abuse.

We use your information to: provide and operate the Service; authenticate your identity and manage your account; process payments and manage subscriptions; generate AI proposals based on information you provide; send essential service communications such as account confirmations and billing notices; improve the Service and diagnose technical issues; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Proposal inputs you provide (client name, project description, etc.) are sent to OpenAI to generate proposal content. OpenAI processes this data according to their own privacy and data processing policies. We recommend you do not include sensitive personal data unrelated to the project brief in proposal inputs.

Your data is stored securely in the European Union using Supabase (hosted in eu-north-1, Stockholm, Sweden). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authorised systems and personnel only.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. If we introduce analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent where required by law.

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase — authentication and database (EU data region)
• Stripe — payment processing
• OpenAI — AI proposal generation
• Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and data processing agreement.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data.
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

We retain your account data and proposals for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records).

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
